Looking deeply into the optical design, the lens comes with 12 elements in 10 groups including two ultra-low dispersion glass elements and prisms in both the left and right lenses. On top of that, the Subwavelength Structure Coating (SSC) reduces ghosting and reflections in difficult lighting conditions.

Even with all the technological enhancement, the manufacturer has kept some things very simple, such as the manual focus ring. The manual focus is coordinated among both lenses, so you don't have to adjust each individually. Further, you get separate focus adjustment dials lets using the supplied hexagon wrench.

Its bright f/2.8 aperture is perfect for low light shooting and the lightweight, folded design, close to 2" depth, and less than 1 pound weight make it perfectly portable. The lens is dust and water-resistant to withstand challenging weather and the additional Fluorine coating on the front element prevents water, oil, and fingerprints on the surface.
